UNICEF’s work with the private sector is indispensable to achieving results for children. Our private sector partnerships team coordinates fundraising activities, private sector partnerships and engagement for UNICEF China. This includes corporate partners, foundations and individual contributors who wish to support UNICEF’s programmes for children.

How can you make a difference?

We are now seeking a committed, dynamic and creative Marketing Officer. He/she will be responsible for planning, writing, editing and producing sales and marketing content related to the acquisition and retention of supporters and partners. Moreover, he/she will be coordinating media presence in partnership events and field visits. The main responsibilities include

Planning and maintaining content across digital and non-digital channels to support acquisition and retention activities
Ensuring content has the appropriate tone and child focus, and adheres to global brand guidelines
Co-ordinating with colleagues to accurately position and message the work of UNICEF, and its benefits for children
Writing and copy-editing content pieces in Chinese and English
Collecting programme information for marketing products such as quarterly newsletters and stories from the field. Undertake field trips where needed to collect quality material
Supporting messaging needs for partnership events and promotion including media field trips and interviews
Managing writers and design and marketing agencies to deliver quality content
Working with programme colleagues to provide periodic briefings on programme and market updates
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Advanced university degree in Communication, Language, Journalism, Multi-media studies, Business Administration or other relevant discipline. In exceptional cases, a bachelor’s degree in combination with additional relevant professional work experience may be accepted in lieu of a master’s degree
Minimum three to five years of professional work experience in communication, reporting, or web-based content creation
Experience in planning and realization of content for different target groups using appropriate style and tone
Experience in writing digital content
Experience working with media, organizing and co-ordinating visits and interviews
Experience working in communication in non-profit organizations is an asset
Fluency in Chinese and English
Nationality of P.R. China
