Positions Open in Jump! China

The JUMP! China Hub seeks to strengthen the JUMP! China Community to support the design and delivery of experiential learning programs from our Beijing base. We are searching for skilled individuals based in China with a willingness to learn new functions and a passion for promoting inclusive and positive change to fill Program Manager, Program Coordinator, and Facilitator within our Program Management Team.

Program dates for Program Facilitators: September 10 – 21 and September 13 – 27.

Contracts for Program Manager and Coordinator will start 1-2 month before the program.

PROGRAM MANAGER

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Risk Assessment & Risk Management System and designing for outdoor programs
  • Managing adventure-based/wilderness programs

 

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Previous experience leading wilderness or cultural immersion programs for students, including managing risk and designing
  • WAFA Certificate or higher (Wilderness Advanced First Aid)
  • Able to provide Criminal Background Check in home country
  • Mandarin Proficiency/English Fluency

 

Preferred Skills/Competiences:

  • Leading kayaking groups and/or kayaking Certifications
  • Leading cycling groups
  • Video/visual storytelling or photography experience

 

FACILITATOR

Role Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating personal and community development activities that challenge students to get out of their comfort zones
  • Provide first response and safety, physical and emotional, for a group of students on their learning journey

 

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Previous experience facilitating/guiding wilderness or cultural immersion programs for students
  • WAFA Certificate or higher (Wilderness Advanced First Aid)
  • Able to provide Criminal Background Check in home country
  • Mandarin Proficiency/English Fluency

 

Specific skills/competencies:

  • Experience leading field research
  • Experience leading camping and backcountry expeditions
  • Leading kayaking groups and/or kayaking Certifications
  • Leading cycling groups

 

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Role Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate transportation, accommodation, food, and activities while in the field
  • Build/Maintain relationship with local partners in a specific program location

 

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Experience planning and organizing logistics for travel (ie booking accommodations, restaurants, arranging transportation,
  • Experience working in an international context
  • English Proficiency/Mandarin Fluency
