FTI Transparency Index promotes a new route for Chinese public interest
FTI透明指数推动中国公益新征程

China Economic Net Public Interest Channel (中国经济网公益频道), April 18, 2013

As part of its serious on “Walking Thinkers,” China Economic Net interviews China Foundation Center Chairman Cheng Gang. Cheng discusses the history of the China Foundation Center and its relationship to China’s nonprofit sector. He also discusses the FTI Transparency Index created by the center, and its role in encouraging transparency and information disclosure among China’s private foundations. Cheng points out that although the China Foundation Center is modeled on the Foundation Center in the US, different conditions in the two countries, particularly in terms of legal infrastructure and industry development, require their organization to become more actively involved in capacity building in order to assist foundations in reaching a high level of professionalism.
