  • Fifth session of the China Charity Fair to be held in Shenzhen

The General Office of the Ministry of Civil Affairs released the “Notice on organizations participating in the fifth session of the China Charity Fair” on July the 19th. As stated in the Notice, the Charity Fair will be held from September 23 to September 25 in Shenzhen, with its main venue in the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center and parallel venues in some communities in Bao’an District.

The Notice explains that the Charity Fair will strive to implement China’s new Charity Law and the “Decisions of the Central Committee and the State Council on Fighting Against Poverty”, follow the ideas of innovation, coordination, green development, openness and sharing, focus on the topics of lawful charity and poverty-alleviation, and adhere to the model of “government guidance, industry organization, social participation, market operation, and public sharing”, making the Charity Fair a key player in the promotion of the sustainable and shared development of the charity industry.

The Fair will be divided into five parts, including the conference discussion and sections on the core of charity, charity projects, resource linkages and charity culture. Social organizations can apply to participate in the Charity Fair by July the 31st.
