Inadequate rehab services for China’s disabled

Xinhua, February 19, 2013

Ministry of Health publication Health News reports that rehabilitation services are severely lacking for China’s disabled. Health News revealed that of the more than 76 million physically disabled people in need of rehab, less than 15 percent have access to such services. The MOH and the China Disabled Persons Federation have launched efforts to address this dearth, including pilots in 46 cities aimed at improving rehab service networks.
