Zhang Tao is a scholar-activist with a wide range of experience in Chinese civil society development. Women’s participation and leadership, monitoring and evaluation are just part of her area of expertise. Zhang provides strategic and programmatic support to grassroots initiatives in China’s health sector to enable more effective capacity building and networking. She also voices advocating and supports women’s participation in key aspects of the policy-making process at various levels. Currently Zhang is a member of Supervisor Committee of the Women’s Network against AIDS – China and Associate Director of Capacity Building and Assessment Centre.
