The 23rd Chinese medical aid team in Benin have succeeded in conducting a remote guidance surgery for a patient with a large thyroid tumour at the central hospital of Lokossa, Mono and Kouffo Department, on the 21st of March, in cooperation with Beninese doctors. This was the first remote surgery provided by a Chinese medical aid team, and it was guided remotely by Chinese oncology surgery and anesthesiology experts via video. Handover ceremony for Chinese emergency food aid held in Cape Verde

The Cape Verdean government held a handover ceremony for emergency food aid from China in its capital Praia on the 8th February. The Minister of Internal Affairs Paulo Rocha and the Chinese Ambassador to Cape Verde Du Xiaocong attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Representatives from other Cape Verde government organs also attended the event.
