The China NGO Network for International Exchanges and the American NGO Mercy Corps jointly hosted a ten day forum on “China’s role in global partnerships in achieving the UN sustainable development goals”, held in the United Nations Millennium hotel. China’s permanent representative to the UN, Ma Zhaoxu, delivered the keynote address. A briefing was held by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau in Shanghai last Tuesday (November 8th), in order to inform various consulate generals of the preparatory work for the implementation of the PRC’s law on the Management of the Activities of Overseas NGOs within Mainland China.
